On August 12th, Mr. Saffa-Woya Rogers, Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Sierra Leone to China; Mr. Dixon Momoh Rogers, Chief Whip, Member of Parliament of Sixth Republic of Sirra Leone; and Mr. Alpha Mohamed Gottor, Second Secretary of this Mission, the delegation was invited to visit the Guizhou Wenxiang Peace International Trade Group and to negotiate related issues such as trade and investment cooperation.

Lei Wenxiang, the chairman of the Guizhou Wenxiang Peace International Trade Group, welcomed the delegation of Saffa-Woya Rogers, who was introduced to the basic situation of the Group and overseas business development in detail. He said Guizhou Wenxiang Peace International Trade Group has been focusing on quality and efficiency improving, reform and innovation deepening, adjustment optimizing and upgrading to catch the benchmark of international first-class, and strive to surpass in recent years. Lei said that the Republic of Sierra Leone is the main country of the Group’s international trade, and he hopes that according to this conversation, two countries will further clarify the strategic cooperation in engineering, trade, fisheries, minerals, tourism and other fields, and give full play to their own advantages at a deeper level, to make positive contributions to the economic development of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

According to Mr. Dixon Momoh Rogers, Chief Whip, Member of Parliament of Sixth Republic of Sierra Leone, Sierra Leone is located in the west of Africa, bordering on Guinea in the north and northeast, Liberia in the southeast, and the Atlantic Ocean in the west and southwest, with an area of 71,700 square kilometers, a coastline of about 485 kilometers, a population of about 7.07 million, and a superior geographical location, rich in mineral resources, fisheries, tourism and other resources. And he hopes the close communication and cooperation with the Guizhou Wenxiang International Trade Group will help Sierra Leone’s economic development.

Mr. Saffa-Woya Rogers welcomed and thanked to Guizhou Wenxiang Peace International Trade Group for actively providing business services and investment to the Republic of Sierra Leone. After introducing the social situation and business environment of Sierra Leone, he said that China and Sierra Leone are comprehensive strategic cooperative partners and China is also the main trade partner of the Republic of Sierra Leone. At present, the Republic of Sierra Leone has ushered in the golden opportunity period of the Belt and Road Initiative. And he hopes that the two countries can cooperate to write a new blueprint for development and create a new win-win situation.
